Governance at Nova DAO

This section contains useful governance procedures and documentation.

Formation of Nova DAO

The following governance votes were proposed on Snapshot, and subsequently approved (ratified) by the community. Combined they lead to the formation of Nova DAO and the basis of its core tokenomics and organisational structure.

Each topic is linked to the Snapshot vote which has the onchain voting results and further details on each governance vote.

Arbitration Procedures

Where exceptions and conflicting decisions may arise between DAO members, the following arbitration procedures will be followed for dispute resolution. Note that these procedures may change from time to time, but the current process can always be found on this page.

Nova DAO members may invoke arbitration where parties are in disagreement on any issues related to the DAO. Should all concerned parties agree to this, they will then be bound by the outcome of the arbitration process as defined below.

This process also covers what is referred to as a Material Adverse Exception Event, as defined in the Nova DAO Charter.

• The Nova Council will hear the issue, with all relevant parties being given equal opportunity to state their case and any relevant details.

• The Nova Council Members will then hold a vote on the issue.

• The outcome of the vote (and optionally, any relevant reasons) will be provided to the disputing parties.

• The decision made during arbitration is final.

Note that:

• The Council Members reserve the right to refuse to arbitrate on an issue.

• If there is a lack of consensus within the Nova Council, it may put the issue to a governance vote for DAO members to resolve.
